The visitors from Norrbotten have long established themselves as one of the strongest clubs in Swedish ice hockey and arrive in Gävle with a clear winning culture. Luleå claimed their second Swedish Championship title as recently as 2025, 29 years after the club’s first, and have continued to rank among the top teams in Swedish hockey. The meeting between Brynäs and Luleå also brings together two clubs with deep roots in their respective home towns and passionate support in the stands. As the distance between Norrbotten and Gästrikland disappears for one evening, everything is set for an exciting hockey game between two teams determined to make their mark on the ice.
