The famous black and yellow crest is synonymous with a strong hockey culture, but in the women’s game Skellefteå are still writing the early chapters of their history at the highest level. After earning promotion in 2024, the team entered the SDHL and became a new name among the leading clubs in Swedish women’s hockey. For Brynäs, the fixture brings an opponent from a club and a city where ice hockey has deep roots, with clear ambitions to continue developing the women’s programme. The distance between Skellefteå and Gävle may be considerable, but it quickly becomes irrelevant once the teams take to the ice with important points at stake. For one evening, a piece of Västerbotten’s hockey tradition heads south – with the next battle waiting at Monitor ERP Arena.

Smoking is prohibited, and once you leave the arena, re-entry is not permitted.
