SDHL: Frölunda HC
Sweden’s west coast meets Gästrikland once again as Frölunda HC visit Monitor ERP Arena for another SDHL encounter with Brynäs IF.

The Gothenburg club are still relatively new to the highest level of women’s hockey, but in a short space of time they have shown ambitions that reach far beyond their limited number of SDHL seasons. Since launching their elite women’s programme in 2022 and earning promotion to the top division the following year, Frölunda have continued to build with their sights set high. As the teams meet again, the sense of novelty has been replaced by a greater familiarity with each other, while the pursuit of valuable league points continues. Brynäs face an opponent that represents both a classic Swedish hockey club and one of the newer forces in the women’s game. Gothenburg against Gävle has become part of the SDHL landscape – and this time, the next chapter will be written at Monitor ERP Arena.
