Since his monumental breakthrough with the debut album “Vilja bli” in 2010, Oskar Linnros has remained one of the most influential artists in Swedish music. Without his carefully crafted hybrid of soulful chords, richly referential productions and rap-influenced language, the country’s pop landscape would have looked very different. With his layered storytelling and ability to combine the immediate with the profound, Oskar Linnros is among the very best at turning the personal into something greater than himself. Or as he once put it: “I sing about myself so that others don’t have to say it about themselves.” A line that has never felt more accurate than on the recent singles “Love Is for Losers” and “Konstig”, the first glimpses of his upcoming, long-awaited album – his first in nine years.

His path has been anything but typical. For long periods, Linnros has stepped away from the spotlight to write and produce for others, only to return with renewed energy as a solo artist. With the genre-defining albums “Vilja bli”, “Klappar & Slag” and “Väntar på en ängel” behind him, a new work will be added to the collection in spring 2026. An album marked by a loud fragility – music that, in the tragedy of its lyrics, reaches out for connection while carrying an intense emotional force.
