Lillstugan on Limön

Limön is an idyllic summer island in the Gävle archipelago. Here you'll find the old fishing village, the harbour with historic boathouses and piers.

Information

Limön also offers opportunities for swimming, fishing, barbecuing at picnic areas, walking the nature trail and visiting the old lighthouse. Thanks to the lime-rich soil and favourable climate, several plants on the island are unique, and there is a rich birdlife.
Limön is a nature reserve, which means great consideration must be shown to the island’s wildlife and natural environment, as well as to other guests and residents on the island.

The cottage:
The cottage is equipped with kitchenware, a fridge (no freezer), kettle, coffee maker and a single hotplate, as well as a barbecue and outdoor furniture.
There is a sofa bed for two people, as well as an extra bed.
Guests bring their own bed linen. Pillows, duvets and blankets are provided.
There is electricity in the cottage.
There is an outhouse in Brygglängan next to Limö Café. There is no shower.
Water is collected from a tap by the café. The groundwater level is low, so it is important to use water sparingly.
Pets are not allowed, and smoking indoors is prohibited.

Each guest is responsible for cleaning the cottage before departure. Cleaning equipment is provided.

Please note that you need to make your own way to the island.

If you arrive by your own boat, you are welcome to moor at one of the guest jetties at Limön. The harbour is sheltered from all winds. Approach by boat is via leading lines and a buoyed fairway.
