Historical handball experiences are promised in October when the first women’s international match in Gästrikland since 1979 will be held at Gavlehovshallen. Spain will be the opponent for the women’s national team in their only gathering this autumn ahead of the European Championship later this year. In addition to Gävle on October 26, the teams will meet in Eskilstuna on October 24.
The match starts at 4:00 PM, and the arena opens approximately 2 hours before. We encourage visitors to use sustainable travel options on their way to Gävle and the arena. There is a walking and cycling path from central Gävle to Gavlehov, and city bus line 3 services the arena with departures every 15-20 minutes. From central Gävle, you can board at the Rådhuset stop, position F.
Please note that the police have imposed a ban on bringing any bags to larger events. Exceptions may only be granted for medical reasons, and only after the bag has undergone necessary checks. Please arrive well in advance of the match to avoid queues!
